Purpose of the Position

As the Business Development Manager at NagaEd, you will be pivotal in driving the growth and expansion of the company’s market presence by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Your role involves developing strategic partnerships, generating leads, and building relationships with potential clients or partners. You will be responsible for creating and executing strategies to increase revenue, enhance the company’s competitive position, and achieve long-term business objectives. 

Organisational Unit Function

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential clients to drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company targets and objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective campaigns and promotional strategies.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure new business and manage client expectations.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of business development activities, including pipeline management and performance metrics.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to represent the company and generate leads.

With a track record of successfully managing client relationships, conducting market analysis, and executing growth strategies, you are adept at steering teams toward achieving ambitious business objectives. Your strategic acumen and ability to leverage industry insights will be instrumental in leading our Business Development team, driving impactful initiatives, and accelerating NagaEd’s expansion and influence in the educational technology landscape. 

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role, with a track record of achieving targets and generating revenue. 
  • Strong understanding of business development principles and strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to analyse market trends and data to make informed business decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Google Workspace Suite. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships. 
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently and as a team.
