Purpose of the Position

At NagaEd, we are committed to strong financial management and efficient administration to support our growing operations. As the Accounts & Admin Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance, processing payroll, handling invoices, and supporting administrative tasks.

This role demands exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage financial transactions with accuracy while assisting with general administrative operations.

Under the guidance of the Founders, you will play a key role in ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and smooth day-to-day operations at NagaEd.

Organisational Unit Function

Finance & Accounting
  • Bookkeeping & Financial Records: Maintain real-time financial records in Zoho Books (or equivalent software).
  • Invoicing: Prepare and track client and vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments.
  • Payroll Processing: Assist in salary calculations, deductions, and statutory payments coordination.
  • Bank Transactions: Monitor bank balances, reconcile statements, and ensure all payments are accurately recorded.
  • Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with Indian tax laws, TDS, and other statutory regulations.
  • Regulatory Filings: Coordinate with third-party accountants for quarterly GST filings, annual company compliance, and other financial submissions.
  • Compliance Coordination: Work with third-party accountants to ensure timely GST filings, TDS, and other regulatory submissions.
  • Budgeting & Expenses: Assist in budget preparation for projects, travel, and operations.
  • Audit & Coordination: Support third-party accountants and vendors in audits and statutory filings.
  • Reimbursements: Process employee expense claims and maintain financial documentation.
Administration & Support
  • Documentation & Filing: Maintain organized records for finance, compliance, and general administration.
  • Office Coordination: Assist in purchasing office supplies, coordinating meetings, and organizing office logistics.
  • General Admin Support: Handle day-to-day administrative tasks as required to support finance and operations teams.

Selection Criteria

You are a detail-oriented professional with strong financial and administrative skills, ensuring all financial transactions and regulatory requirements are met accurately.

Essential

  • Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll processing, and compliance coordination.
  • High attention to detail with a track record of error-free financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian tax laws, TDS, and compliance processes.
  • Proficiency in Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or other cloud-based accounting tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle finance and admin responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently while ensuring accuracy and financial transparency.
