Purpose of the Position

The Business Development Executive plays a vital role in driving business growth and expanding NagaEd’s client base. This position involves identifying and engaging potential clients, building relationships, and effectively communicating NagaEd’s value proposition. The Business Development Executive will work closely with the marketing teams to achieve revenue targets and contribute to the overall success of NagaEd.

Organisational Unit Function

  • Identify and Engage Prospective Clients:
    • Research and identify potential clients in the target market through various channels, such as online research, industry events, and referrals.
    • Reach out to prospective clients via email, phone calls, and social media to introduce NagaEd’s services and initiate discussions.
    • Effectively communicate NagaEd’s value proposition, benefits, and solutions to address clients’ needs and challenges.

 

  • Relationship Building and Networking:
    • Build and nurture strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their requirements and pain points.
    • Conduct meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations to showcase NagaEd’s offerings and highlight the value it brings to clients.
    • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to expand professional networks and generate leads.
  • Sales Pipeline Management:
    • Manage the entire sales process from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring timely follow-ups and accurate documentation of client interactions.
    • Qualify leads, assess their level of interest, and determine their potential as clients.
    • Maintain an updated sales pipeline, track progress, and provide regular reports to the sales team and management.
  • Collaboration with Marketing Teams:
    • Collaborate closely with the marketing teams to align strategies, share market insights, and optimize lead generation efforts.
    • Provide feedback on market trends, client preferences, and competitor activities to inform sales and marketing strategies.
    • Participate in regular meetings and contribute to the development of sales and marketing collateral

Selection Criteria

You are a proactive self-starter, who has experience working with software products and is interested in driving the sales function. You have experience in the education sector and enjoy working collaboratively with administrators and educators. You have a proven ability to thrive in a changing and fast-paced environment 

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • 2-3 years experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably in the education or technology industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
  • Persuasive and confident in presenting and pitching products or services to potential clients.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills to drive successful deals and meet sales targets.
  • Self-motivated with a result-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
