Nagaland Pioneers School Safety with First-of-Its-Kind Digital Course for Educators

  • Mandatory Online School Safety Training for Nagaland Teachers: A first-of-its-kind program, this digital course equips teachers (government & private schools) with vital disaster management skills.
  • Widespread Implementation & Impact: 500 teachers have already enrolled in the online certification program. The program targets to certify 10,000 teachers across Nagaland, ensuring a large portion of educators receive this crucial training.

Kohima, Nagaland – In a pioneering move for school safety across the nation, the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), the Department of School Education (DSE) and NagaEd have launched the School Safety Policy Compliance Course. This mandatory digital training course, for both government and private school teachers, equips educators with vital disaster management skills and knowledge, making it one of the first of its kind in the country.

Teachers, both government and private, can enrol now at the Department of School Education website: education.nagaland.gov.in to receive their mandatory completion certificate.

Early Success and Ambitious Goals

Over 500+ teachers have already enrolled in the online certification course, showcasing the initiative’s early success. The program ambitiously targets to certify 10,000 teachers across the state, ensuring widespread dissemination of crucial safety knowledge. 

Joint Effort for Statewide Impact

The NSDMA, DSE, and NagaEd, a leading digital education company, have collaborated to develop and implement this innovative program. This partnership leverages digital education to reach educators in diverse and remote locations throughout Nagaland.
